One-on-one coaching and group classes with Kundalini Yoga – a system of breath, movement and inner listening for clarity, creativity, and strength.
What Kundalini Yoga is
Kundalini Yoga is an internal art that focuses on the development of the body, mind and soul. It is a practice that weaves breath, movement, sound and meditation into active sequences (kriyas). Each kriya is designed to produce a specific effect – be it mental clarity, emotional regulation, intuition, detoxification, physical strength, will power, creativity or connection to the divine!

How I work

Groups
I regularly hold small, seasonal group sessions of yoga and meditation. These are longer than a regular class and usually include a tea ceremony, some yoga, a sound bath, and some personal reflection and group sharing time. Sign up here to be notified of these events.

Kundalini Coach – one-on-one sessions
Kundalini yoga works so well one-on-one because it contains such a vast cannon of prescribed sets that target particular aspects of the mind / body / psyche. There is a kriya for every conceivable eventuality, from surviving heartbreak, to building core strength, to finding motivation, or tapping into your imagination and creativity. There are too many to mention!
Together, we choose a kriya that suits you, where you are in your life right now, and what you want from the practice. I can also devise a programme for you to follow as a regular practice at home.

There is no pre-requisite for this practice, except to come to the mat.
You don’t have to consider yourself flexible, strong, or a natural meditator.
Come adventure with me, you’ll be surprised!
One-on-one coaching meets you where you are - whether you are a seasoned practitioner who wants personalised guidance, a beginner who wants to build a home practice, or if you are returning to yoga after a break and need some inspiration.
If you are navigating any of the following and are looking for someone to guide you through a yogic practice, you’re in the right place: Grief, exhaustion, overwhelm, Complex / PTSD, medication withdrawal, perimenopause and menopause. Please remember that this is not a replacement for medical care. What yoga can do, is build your capacity to hold whatever life hands you, so you can meet it with grace, kindness and awareness.
I spent years teaching Kundalini yoga and meditation to adults with mental health challenges (from mild anxiety to heavily medicated psychosis). I am mindful of the need to tread lightly when working with people who are feeling tender inside.
I also love to share this practice for its potential to transform really quickly, and its adaptability to any life situation.
You neither have to be well, nor unwell to practice with me.
A note on lineage
Before I found Kundalini, I was a lifelong yoga and meditation practitioner, with a foundation in the Astanga and Iyengar lineages. I also explored Vipassana, Zen and Tibetan Buddhist meditation. After a back injury which led to several herniated discs, I was unable to carry on with my regular physical practice and turned to Kundalini Yoga. It was a huge relief to be able to continue practicing, and to work with a system at my own pace and with my own limitations. I quickly decided to train as a teacher and joined the International School of Kundalini Yoga in England, UK. I completed my advanced training and started to teach straight away.
In 2020, an independent report concluded that Yogi Bhajan, the man who popularised Kundalini Yoga in the West, had seriously abused many students over the years. This led to my rupture with 3HO and KRI, the two organisations responsible for accrediting teachers – and I am no longer affiliated with either. I continue to study with senior teachers who are not connected to these organisations.
This period led to some soul searching and a deeper dive into questions of ethics, politics, decolonisation, cultural appropriation, and how very tired we are of patriarchy and its abuses!
Ultimately, I chose to teach Kundalini yoga because it predates 3HO and KRI. The Kriya yoga system, is an ancient practice rooted in esoteric Eastern tradition that exists outside, beyond and independent of one abusive teacher.
However in my classes, I do not follow the prescriptions of 3HO and KRI, relying instead on my own common sense, knowledge and experience, as well as the guidance of my own teachers.
FAQs
Is it religious?
Yoga comes from sacred Eastern traditions and texts. We use mantras and prayers from different sacred traditions in the class.
